Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Arlington Heights, Illinois

Step into a rewarding school-based speech-language pathology role working with students from kindergarten through eighth grade for a full academic year. This part-time contract opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact on a manageable caseload of approximately 33 students, supporting their communication and development both in-person and via teletherapy. With a flexible schedule of 2.5 to 3 days per week (18-20 hours), you will have the opportunity to foster connections, implement tailored interventions, and collaborate with dedicated education professionals.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Speech-Language Pathology license/certification (CFY or CCC) required
• Experience in educational or pediatric settings preferred
• Comfort with delivering teletherapy as well as on-site services
• Strong organizational skills to manage caseload and documentation effectively
• Ability to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and participate in IEP meetings
• Commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive practices

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy to K-8 students on a diverse caseload
• Assess, diagnose, and develop comprehensive therapy plans tailored to individual needs
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
• Utilize both in-person and virtual platforms to deliver effective interventions
• Maintain accurate records and track student progress, meeting all compliance standards
• Participate in school meetings, contribute to IEP creation, and offer professional guidance
