A contract opportunity is available for a committed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students for the 2024-2025 school year. In this role, you will collaborate closely with parents, teachers, and educational professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders—empowering students to overcome challenges and thrive both socially and academically.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Current Texas State License in Speech-Language Pathology or eligibility to obtain one
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent graduate degree
- Experience in any of the following settings: schools, pediatrics, teletherapy, or healthcare (School-based SLP experience preferred but not required)
- Experience with SLP-CCC, CFY, and providing direct/indirect services is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary educational setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide intervention for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and administrators to design effective individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver both direct and consultative services across in-person and teletherapy modalities, as applicable
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting interventions as needed to facilitate student success
- Offer expert strategies to educators and families to support generalization of communication skills in various settings
This contract role offers weekly pay, guaranteed hours, direct and indirect services pay, liability coverage, and comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance. Additionally, a 401k plan is available.
