Step into a dynamic educational setting where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist can have a direct impact on children’s growth and development. This contract role, beginning mid to late September and concluding at the end of December, offers an opportunity to work full-time (approximately 37.5 hours per week) with a diverse caseload of around 60-65 students from Pre-K through 5th grade. You’ll collaborate with a supportive team of educators and specialists to address the communication needs of students in general education, special education resource, and self-contained life skills programs.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active SLP licensure in Texas
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; strong CFs considered
  • Experience with school-age children, especially ages PK-5th
  • Knowledge of developing and implementing IEPs for diverse student populations
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families
  • Strong organizational, time management, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders within a school setting
  • Develop individualized therapy plans and integrate them into each student’s educational objectives
  • Work closely with classroom teachers and special education staff to facilitate communication skills in varying instructional environments
  • Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with district and regulatory guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Provide direct intervention to students in general education, special education resource rooms, and specialized life skills programs
