Step into a year-long contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving vibrant school communities in the Thornton, CO area. This onsite role begins July 27, 2026 and continues through May 21, 2027, offering a rewarding experience across Riverdale Elementary School (Intensive Pre-School Classroom) and STEM Launch K-8.

You’ll work a full-time schedule (37.5 hours/week), focusing on preschool and K-8 student populations. Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, providing targeted services, developing and monitoring progress towards IEP goals, and actively collaborating with education teams. There are also opportunities to assist in supervising SLPAs. Strong school-based experience—especially with early childhood populations—is highly valued. Preference is given to those with ELL training or an ESL/Linguistically Diverse Education Endorsement.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid and current SLP licensure
  • Current Colorado DOE certification
  • Experience with both early childhood (Pre-K) and K-8 populations in a school setting
  • Familiarity with IEP development and progress monitoring
  • Skills or training with ELL/ESL student populations highly preferred
  • Ability to assess, serve, and document progress for students of varied backgrounds
  • Experience in supervising or mentoring support staff such as SLPAs is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy in intensive pre-school and K-8 settings
  • Complete and interpret comprehensive assessments
  • Write and implement IEPs, monitoring measurable goals and objectives
  • Support and potentially oversee SLPAs as part of the service delivery team
  • Collaborate with educators and families to support student communication goals
