Step into an impactful school-based role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Arvada, CO area. This full-time contract assignment covers a medical leave and will run until approximately winter break, with additional opportunities to provide compensatory services as needed upon the permanent clinician’s return. You’ll work at a single site with an elementary caseload of around 40 students, including some preschoolers, most presenting with mild to moderate needs.

You will collaborate with staff and families to help students achieve their communication goals in a supportive educational environment. Your skills and experience will continue to make a difference by maintaining continuity of care and covering integral therapy services during a key transition time.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Colorado SLP licensure (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
  • Experience working with school-aged children in a school-based setting
  • Comfortable handling a diverse mild-moderate elementary caseload
  • Ability to provide both direct services and compensatory therapy as needed
  • Professional, collaborative, and self-sufficient with excellent communication skills
  • Not open to Clinical Fellows (CFs), SLP Assistants (SLPAs), teletherapy/Voco providers, or 1099 contractors

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech/language therapy to elementary and select PreK students
  • Complete assessments, evaluations, and IEP documentation
  • Consult with teachers, staff, and families regarding student needs and progress
  • Adapt and deliver services per students’ IEPs and district guidelines
  • Assist with make-up/compensatory services upon staff return
