Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting two high schools in a collaborative educational environment near Athens, GA. This position welcomes both experienced Speech-Language Pathologists and Clinical Fellows (CFs), as well as energetic SLP Assistants eager to make a real difference in students’ lives. The assignment runs from late July 2026 through late May 2027, with consistent full-time hours each week.

In this role, you will work onsite with approximately 45 students, primarily in program classrooms. Your caseload is thoughtfully balanced: 15 students require consult-only services, one student receives direct support twice a week, and the remaining students receive services once a week or twice a month. You’ll be able to focus on individual student progress and collaborate closely with high school educational teams at Empower and EJCHS.

Qualifications:

  • Active GA SLP License and a valid GaPSC Certification (required for SLPs and CFs)
  • SLP Assistants: Bachelor’s degree with GaPSC certification
  • Open to recent graduates (CFs) and SLPAs ready for hands-on school experience
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Passion for empowering students in an educational setting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy onsite
  • Consult with teachers, support staff, and families to foster student success
  • Assess student needs and develop IEP goals in accordance with state requirements
  • Maintain accurate records and progress notes
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary planning
