School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Atlanta, Georgia

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) issued by ASHA
• Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain (SLP - CCC) in Georgia
• Previous school-based experience preferred, but dedicated professionals from other settings are encouraged to apply
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to engage with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments, screenings, and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders in students
• Develop and implement effective therapy plans tailored to individual student needs
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school psychologists to provide comprehensive support
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation, including progress notes and IEPs
• Provide education and training to school staff and families on communication strategies and interventions
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
