This full-time, contract-to-hire role begins August 2, 2024, and offers the opportunity to help PreK through 2nd-grade students achieve meaningful communication milestones at a single location near Atlantic Beach, FL.
Ideal candidates bring expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC), along with energy and compassion for working with early childhood and early elementary populations.
What we’re looking for:
- Active SLP-CCC certification
- Experience in school-based therapy, specifically with PreK-2nd grade preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEPs and progress monitoring
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and other school professionals
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
- Genuine passion for supporting young children’s communication development
Your contributions will include:
- Assessing, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans for students with speech-language needs
- Delivering individual and group therapy sessions
- Writing and updating IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Documenting outcomes and communicating updates to teachers and parents
- Providing strategies and resources to classroom staff
