Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language pathology services in a supportive elementary and pre-K environment. This position, located near Auburn, KS, spans the academic year from August 2026 through May 2027. You’ll serve a caseload of approximately 50-60 students, delivering both individualized and group-based speech therapy while collaborating with a dedicated educational team.

Key qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid state licensure for school-based SLP practice (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience in conducting and participating in IEP meetings
  • Familiarity with Medicaid billing procedures
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Prior work with pre-K or elementary student populations preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat disorders related to speech, language, voice, and fluency in a school setting
  • Manage an elementary-focused caseload with some pre-K students
  • Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
  • Deliver therapy in 1:1 and small group settings
  • Test, evaluate, and document student progress
  • Complete associated Medicaid billing and maintain accurate session records
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and other support staff
