Step into a rewarding contract opportunity this upcoming school year as a Speech-Language Pathologist working on-site with a small caseload of students from kindergarten through sixth grade. In this role, you'll be supporting students' communication development at a vibrant academic setting located near Auburn, ME, with services provided on-site in Lewiston. The position is set to begin August 24th, offering around 20 hours per week—with some flexibility based on caseload needs.
Ideal candidates will bring enthusiasm for helping young learners succeed and a genuine commitment to student growth. Working with a manageable group of 8–10 students, you’ll have the chance to truly make an impact while balancing professional and personal commitments.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid state license (or eligibility) in Maine
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience or comfort working in K-6 educational settings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language assessments and develop individualized therapy plans
- Deliver direct, evidence-based interventions to students in need
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and report on student progress
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
