Qualifications and Ideal Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required
  • Previous experience in a K-12 school environment strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and related documentation
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable providing both direct and consultative services

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students’ speech and language needs across K-12 grade levels
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Deliver evidence-based therapy services, adapting methods to support diverse learners
  • Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with school and state requirements
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams for coordinated student support
  • Offer training or consultation to school staff on communication strategies and classroom implementation
