A contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) role is available for the 2025–2026 school year in a K-12 school serving primarily elementary students, with some high school learners included. Located in Auburn, NY, this position offers the opportunity to support speech and language development in an educational setting from September through June.
In this role, you will manage a caseload of approximately 28 students, focusing on conducting assessments, providing individualized therapy, and collaborating closely with educators and families. Your efforts will contribute to creating an inclusive environment that fosters student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop individualized therapy plans
- Deliver direct therapy services tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement accommodations and modifications
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions as appropriate
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting
- Provide guidance and support to parents and caregivers
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach
- Knowledge of IEP processes and relevant educational laws
