A rewarding opportunity awaits a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist in a K-12 school environment near Auburn, NY. This contract role spans the 2025–2026 academic year, running from September through June. The primary focus is on elementary students, with a select group of high schoolers included in your caseload of approximately 28 students.
As the SLP, you’ll play a pivotal part in helping students build their communication skills and confidence. Your expertise will guide assessment, individualized therapy, and collaborative support for both students and staff, ensuring every learner’s needs are met in an inclusive setting.
Key Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and craft tailored therapy plans for each student.
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy, adapting techniques to individual needs.
- Work hand-in-hand with educators to implement accommodations and classroom modifications.
- Track student progress and refine interventions as necessary.
- Take an active role in IEP meetings, providing insight and helping set meaningful goals.
- Serve as a valued resource for parents and caregivers, offering guidance throughout the year.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active or eligible state SLP license (CCC preferred).
- Experience working with school-aged children, especially in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with IEP procedures and educational regulations.
The position follows a school-based calendar, with guaranteed hours and vacation time in sync with academic breaks. Competitive hourly pay ranges from $48 to $58, and qualified professionals may be eligible for healthcare benefits, as well as housing and meal/incidentals packages.
