Step into a rewarding part-time opportunity supporting students in a vibrant K-8 school setting near the southwest metro area of Syracuse, NY! This contract Speech-Language Pathologist position is tailored for passionate professionals who thrive on making a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners.

Working part-time, you’ll engage with students from kindergarten through eighth grade, delivering essential SLP services across 21 sessions per week. Your schedule will be consistent, Monday through Thursday, from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm—allowing for excellent work-life balance and the flexibility to pursue other interests or commitments outside these hours.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in New York State
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Prior experience working in school-based or pediatric settings, particularly K-8 populations
  • Strong collaborative skills for working with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Ability to create individualized treatment plans and demonstrate effective communication

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, evidence-based SLP services to a diverse caseload of K-8 students
  • Develop individualized education program (IEP) goals and accurate progress reports
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support student growth and participation
  • Engage in parent and teacher consultations as needed to foster student success
  • Document session notes and adhere to compliance protocols and timelines
