Qualifications & Desired Background:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Current state licensure to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or ability to obtain before start date)
- Previous school-based experience preferred, but strong clinical skills and a passion for working with children are essential
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educational staff, parents, and service providers
What You’ll Do:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized therapy plans for students with a variety of speech and language needs
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy sessions individually and in small groups
- Work closely with teachers and staff to facilitate student progress and support academic success
- Document therapy sessions, evaluations, and track progress as required by school and district policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute input for goals, accommodations, and progress updates
- Provide education and guidance to classroom staff and families related to communication strategies and support
