An exciting contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with schools near Augusta, ME. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about helping students achieve their communication goals in a supportive educational environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility to obtain by assignment start date)
  • Recent school-based SLP experience preferred, but open to strong clinical backgrounds
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
  • Familiarity with IEP development and participation in student meetings
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Commitment to collaborative work with educators, families, and other staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform speech and language screenings, evaluations, and therapy for students with varying needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, aligning therapy goals with educational outcomes
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress notes complying with school and state requirements
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to deliver effective interventions
  • Provide direct and consultative services as designated by IEPs
