Make an impact supporting K-5 students in a center-based program as a contract speech-language pathologist. This is an excellent opportunity to work with students who have intellectual disabilities, some of whom use communication devices, and help them reach their communication goals in a collaborative environment. You'll work on-site five days per week with a dynamic team of educators and professionals committed to student success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Familiarity with working with students with intellectual disabilities and augmentative or alternative communication (AAC) devices
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt services to individual student needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for K-5 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating closely with the education team and families
- Provide both direct and indirect speech-language services in accordance with IEPs
- Track student progress and maintain thorough, timely documentation
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for all students
- Caseload will be determined during the interview process based on your skills and interests
