Make an immediate impact in the lives of young learners through a rewarding school-based contract opportunity in the Thornton area. This assignment spans the full academic year, starting July 27, 2026, and running through May 21, 2027, with onsite support needed for 37.5 hours per week (1 FTE). As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll work at either Riverdale Elementary’s Intensive Pre-School Classroom or Stem Launch K-8 School, serving unique student caseloads with potential for SLPA supervision.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellowship (SLP-CF) eligible
- Active Speech-Language Pathology licensure and Colorado Department of Education certification
- School-based SLP experience, with preference for early childhood/pre-K backgrounds
- Familiarity with IEP writing, assessments, and progress monitoring
- Experience or coursework in ELL, ESL, or Linguistically Diverse Education (LDE) highly valued
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for assigned students
- Develop, implement, and manage IEPs, documenting progress toward measurable goals
- Deliver direct therapeutic services in both individual and group settings
- Collaborate with fellow educators and related service professionals
- Mentor and support SLPAs as needed
- Participate in meetings and communicate with families regarding student progress
