Your background in school-based SLP practice will be essential in assessing, treating, and managing a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders within the student population. You’ll have the chance to use evidence-based interventions and help shape individualized education plans to promote student growth and achievement.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Colorado state SLP licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
- Experience providing therapy in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Comfort with conducting assessments, writing IEP goals, and delivering therapy to diverse student groups
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with teachers, support staff, and families
- Strong organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students in individual and group settings
- Complete comprehensive speech/language evaluations and participate in eligibility meetings
- Develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and caregivers to support student goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress tracking per district and state guidelines
- Offer consultation and training to staff regarding speech and language strategies
