Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure as an SLP
  • Certification through ASHA (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year supervision
  • Experience working with students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels preferred
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Strong communication skills for consultation with teachers, staff, and families
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively and maintain accurate documentation
  • Flexibility and adaptability in diverse school settings

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services tailored to students’ individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, resource teams, and families to deliver comprehensive support
  • Screen, assess, and diagnose communication disorders
  • Develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans
  • Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed
  • Document services rendered and maintain ongoing records for compliance
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress evaluations
