Requirements and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as an SLP
- Certification through ASHA (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year supervision
- Experience working with students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels preferred
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
- Strong communication skills for consultation with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and maintain accurate documentation
- Flexibility and adaptability in diverse school settings
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services tailored to students’ individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, resource teams, and families to deliver comprehensive support
- Screen, assess, and diagnose communication disorders
- Develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Document services rendered and maintain ongoing records for compliance
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress evaluations
