A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year, located in Aurora, IL. This role is designed for professionals holding Illinois state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist through IDFPR and an ISBE Professional Educator License. The position involves working 35 hours per week in a school setting, focusing on self-contained autism classrooms serving early childhood through grade 5.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and screenings for students in self-contained autism programs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing speech, language, and communication goals
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred for full salary range; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly within school and healthcare environments
- Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology principles and best practices for autism and related disorders
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
