This contract position is located in Joliet, IL, and involves working 3-4 days per week for the full school year, focusing on students from kindergarten through eighth grade.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist with a CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Previous experience working in a school setting, particularly with K-8 students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop individual education plans (IEPs)
- Proficiency in assessment and treatment of speech and language disorders
- Commitment to collaborating with educational staff and families
Location:
- Joliet, IL
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students’ speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students’ communication goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students requiring speech and language intervention
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate student records
- Create a supportive and engaging learning environment for all students
