Step confidently into a rewarding speech-language pathology assignment serving students in grades K-2. This full-time contract position runs from August 24th through November 18th, providing vital maternity leave coverage. Your week will be thoughtfully structured: three days working within a self-contained classroom, and two days delivering pull-out speech services, allowing you to interact closely with both students and educators.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Recent experience working with young children, preferably in a school setting
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Adaptability to support both classroom-based and individualized student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services in accordance with students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Conduct thorough assessments, maintain accurate documentation, and monitor progress
- Partner with teachers and other school professionals to support comprehensive educational goals
- Educate and empower families regarding speech and language support strategies
- Provide both individual and small group therapy, adapting your approach to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Stay current with best practices in pediatric speech-language therapy and educational requirements
