This full-time contract position offers the chance to impact students across two school sites, as you support bilingual (Spanish & English) learners. Your expertise will help shape lives throughout the school year, from August 27, 2026, to June 9, 2027.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active IL Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement
  • Valid Illinois SLP license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly valued
  • Skill in collaborating with diverse student populations and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative speech and language services to a varied caseload (average 45 students, capped at 60 per state guidelines)
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and create individualized treatment and intervention plans
  • Work itinerantly across two school sites, serving various age groups as assigned
  • Document progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with staff and families
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Serve as a resource on language and communication needs for educators and parents
