A fulfilling part-time contract opportunity is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) to make a meaningful impact in a therapeutic day school environment near Aurora, IL. This role offers the chance to provide expert support to a diverse caseload of students ranging from kindergarten through age 22, helping them enhance their communication and academic skills in a supportive setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required
- Demonstrated expertise supporting students within school-based environments
- Comfortable conducting evaluations and providing oversight in compliance with state requirements
- Experience with K-22 student populations (early childhood through transition-age young adults)
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Ability to maintain detailed documentation and work closely with educational teams
- Availability to work part-time: 21 hours per week, with flexibility for additional hours as needed
- Commitment to three days per week, typically Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services to students in a therapeutic day school
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop IEPs, and participate in student meetings
- Collaborate with staff and families to support student progress and create effective intervention plans
- Maintain compliance with all documentation and regulatory requirements
- Adapt services to varying needs and support students’ language, social, and academic growth
This contract role offers the advantage of a flexible schedule between 8:00am–2:30pm (potentially as late as 3:00pm), running ASAP through the end of May 2027.
