Speech Language Pathologist in Aurora, IL

Make an impact working with students while experiencing the variety and professional satisfaction that a contract school-based Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity provides. Two full-time positions are now available, covering distinct maternity leaves in a vibrant educational community near Aurora, IL.

The first leave begins in late October or early November and continues through December 18, 2026, with a dynamic caseload spanning both middle and elementary school students. The second opportunity starts in December and runs through May 2027, focusing on serving high school students. Both positions offer the chance to build rewarding relationships while fostering communication skills in young learners at pivotal stages of their development.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) required.
• SLP-CCC preferred; SLP-CFs with strong clinical skills and school-based interest are encouraged to apply.
• School setting experience is a plus, but not required with appropriate clinical training.
• Ability to effectively manage diverse caseloads and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services for a range of speech, language, and communication disorders.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with school and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff.
• Support students’ social and academic success through direct intervention and consultation.
