Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for Illinois SLP credentials
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, CFY considered
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly desired
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents
  • Current knowledge of IEP process and special education practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
  • Deliver direct and consultative services to students with a variety of communication needs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and related service providers
  • Maintain accurate records and progress documentation
  • Communicate clearly and regularly with families regarding student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student goals and intervention strategies
  • Stay current with best practices and continued professional development in the field
