Role responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, diagnose speech and language disorders, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, adapting techniques to meet a range of communication needs
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure cohesive support for each student
  • Document progress, maintain comprehensive records, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Support students using evidence-based strategies and interventions
  • Offer consultation and training to school staff when needed
