What makes this role unique? Enjoy a balanced schedule working 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, four days per week, delivering 21 engaging therapy sessions each week. You'll collaborate with educators and families to empower students across elementary and middle school levels, using your expertise as a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to help learners reach their full potential.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in New York
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Prior experience working with K-8 students or in a school-based setting highly valued
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes and therapy documentation
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech/language therapy in 21 sessions per week
- Provide services aligned with students’ IEP goals and adapt sessions for varying needs
- Conduct assessments, maintain progress notes, and participate in eligibility meetings
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to develop strategies fostering student growth
- Educate staff and families on best practices for communication development
