Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active (or eligible) state licensure as an SLP for Maine
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with K-12 students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for students referred for speech and language services
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver direct therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school personnel to maximize student success
- Monitor and document student progress, making data-driven recommendations for continued support
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert input on student needs and progress
- Stay current on best practices and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology
