Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active (or eligible) state licensure as an SLP for Maine
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively with K-12 students, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for students referred for speech and language services
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Deliver direct therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school personnel to maximize student success
  • Monitor and document student progress, making data-driven recommendations for continued support
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert input on student needs and progress
  • Stay current on best practices and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology
