Step into a meaningful, contract-based opportunity where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist will make a genuine impact in an elementary school environment. This full-time assignment is ideal for a dedicated SLP who enjoys working with children and feels confident managing a specialized caseload. The position covers a maternity leave, beginning November 2nd and lasting approximately 6-8 weeks, providing valuable support to students during this crucial period.

Your day will run from 9:00 am to 3:50 pm, with a manageable caseload of 36-42 elementary students—primarily those with autism and children in life skills programs. You’ll work closely with educators and families to help students thrive academically and socially, all within a supportive school atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active SLP-CCC certification
  • Experience in pediatric, healthcare, and/or school-based settings preferred
  • Previous work with autistic students or life skills populations is beneficial
  • Commitment to fostering communication, comprehension, and participation in a diverse classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and reassessments of student communication skills
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with teachers and parents
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions for speech, language, and social communication challenges
  • Document student progress and provide updates to staff and families
  • Support teachers with strategies and resources for inclusive learning
