Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license in the state of Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
- Prior experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Flexibility to serve students across the full K-12 age range
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and deliver evidence-based therapy for students with diverse communication needs
- Document progress, maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to facilitate integration of therapy goals within the classroom
- Provide support and strategies to families and caregivers to enhance carryover outside of school
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere where every student can succeed
