Step into a rewarding full-time role serving students in a Day School Program for the Deaf near Baytown, TX. This contract opportunity runs from August 3, 2026, through May 25, 2027, offering a chance to make a lasting impact over the course of a full academic year. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll work with a caseload of approximately 60 students, ranging from PreK 3 through 12th grade, providing vital speech and language services across three campuses.
Your expertise in American Sign Language (ASL) will be essential, as every student has some level of hearing loss and full ASL fluency is required to ensure effective communication and instruction.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure for SLP in Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
- ASL fluency required
- Experience in an educational setting or with students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services for a diverse caseload (PreK 3 - 12th grade)
- Develop, implement, and track IEP goals for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Collaborate with teachers, audiologists, and other service providers across three campuses
- Participate in assessments, team meetings, and parent conferences
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation
