Qualifications and Desired Background:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Previous experience in a school environment highly preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to fostering students’ academic and social growth

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs of students
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with other educational professionals
  • Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in both individual and group settings
  • Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare required reports
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams to maximize student success
  • Provide guidance and resources for classroom modifications and communication strategies
  • Stay current with best practices, continuing education, and compliance standards
