Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Belen, NM

Step into an exciting opportunity supporting students from PreK through 12th grade for the 2026–2027 school year. This contract position is ideal for Speech-Language Pathologists who are ready to make a meaningful impact in the school environment. You’ll enjoy a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, working collaboratively with educators and families to help students achieve their communication and learning goals.

Your expertise as a licensed SLP—whether you hold your CCC or are completing your CFY—will be valued as you provide assessments, develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and deliver both direct and consultative services. This position runs from August 3, 2026, through May 28, 2027.

Desired qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid SLP license for the state of New Mexico (or eligibility to obtain)
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
• Experience (or strong interest) in working with PreK–12th grade populations in a school setting
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students across diverse age levels
• Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to individual student needs
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to facilitate student progress
• Maintain documentation in accordance with legal and district guidelines
