Seeking a dynamic and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to make a significant difference in the lives of students for the upcoming school year! Enjoy a fulfilling contract opportunity beginning August 19th and running through May 29th, 2027. Two distinct openings are available—one full-time, supporting elementary and middle school students (approximately 50 on the caseload), and one part-time (three and a half days per week) working with K-12 autistic students (approximately 32 students). Both roles are based in the Urbana area, with the part-time position also serving West Liberty.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in assessment, treatment planning, and therapy for a variety of communication needs
- Comfortable working with diverse student populations, including those with autism
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach with teachers, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective speech-language therapy tailored to student needs
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop IEPs and intervention plans
- Provide consultation and resources to classroom teachers to enhance communication supports
- Communicate progress and goals effectively with parents and staff
- Participate fully in professional learning and school-based activities
