Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
- Experience working with students in grades K-12 (K-5, 6-8, and 9-12)
- Strong understanding of educational IEP processes and documentation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to various age groups and individual needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and deliver speech and language therapy for students in grades K-12
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Monitor student progress; maintain accurate records and adjust interventions as needed
- Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and administrators regarding therapy goals and outcomes
- Provide strategies and support to staff for best practices in communication within the classroom setting
- Stay current on evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology for school environments
