As a vital member of the school-based team, you will provide essential support to help students develop their communication skills, thrive academically, and build confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for initial evaluations and re-evaluations to determine therapy needs.
- Craft detailed reports that accurately document assessment results, therapy progress, and recommendations.
- Develop and update IEPs in close collaboration with students, families, and educational staff to ensure tailored support.
- Communicate student progress and strategies for support to teachers and caregivers.
- Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and participate in interdisciplinary meetings as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
- Hold an active state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Prior experience working in school-based settings with elementary and/or secondary students preferred, though not required.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
