Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) highly preferred; clinical fellows (CFY) considered
- Experience in pediatric settings, with a strong understanding of school-based SLP practices
- Knowledge of IEP process, progress monitoring, and relevant documentation
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to engage creatively with students of varied backgrounds and needs
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs in collaboration with educators and families
- Conduct screenings and evaluations to identify communication needs
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy techniques as necessary
- Provide consultation and training to teachers, staff, and families on strategies and tools to support communication in the classroom
- Maintain timely and accurate records according to school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team sessions, and professional development as required
