Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) highly preferred; clinical fellows (CFY) considered
  • Experience in pediatric settings, with a strong understanding of school-based SLP practices
  • Knowledge of IEP process, progress monitoring, and relevant documentation
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to engage creatively with students of varied backgrounds and needs

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs in collaboration with educators and families
  • Conduct screenings and evaluations to identify communication needs
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy techniques as necessary
  • Provide consultation and training to teachers, staff, and families on strategies and tools to support communication in the classroom
  • Maintain timely and accurate records according to school and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team sessions, and professional development as required
