Qualifications & Desired Experience

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
  • Comfort and familiarity working with students with intellectual disabilities
  • Experience with AAC (augmentative/alternative communication) devices desirable
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for K-5 students
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing insights and documentation
  • Deliver both direct and indirect speech-language services as specified by each IEP
  • Adapt communication approaches to support students using a variety of devices
  • Maintain accurate records and progress reports
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to foster student growth
  • Serve as a resource and advocate for students’ communication needs
