Essential Qualifications:
- Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes and documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and families.
- Organizational abilities to manage varying caseloads and documentation deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs.
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and re-evaluations to determine student eligibility and present levels of performance.
- Develop, document, and implement individualized intervention plans focused on speech, language, and communication goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely records, progress notes, and required documentation.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development and updates.
- Offer guidance to educators, staff, and parents to support student generalization of communication skills in the classroom and school community.
- Adapt intervention strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
