This contract role offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time availability, so you can choose what aligns best with your schedule and lifestyle. The assignment begins as soon as possible or for the 2025-2026 year and involves working with one or two school sites near Berkeley, CA, creating the chance to build meaningful relationships within a close-knit community.

Candidates should be prepared to work up to 37.5 hours per week, managing a caseload of up to 65 students for full-time roles. You will deliver impactful speech and language interventions, collaborate with educators and families, and play a key role in helping children achieve their communication goals.

Qualifications and experience sought:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • State licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but enthusiastic new graduates are welcome to apply
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions tailored to student needs
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for speech, language, and communication challenges
  • Document student progress and meet compliance requirements
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
  • Support IEP development and attend relevant meetings
