Support student success this upcoming school year as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a dynamic, collaborative educational environment near Berkeley, CA. Two full-time contract opportunities are available to cover maternity leaves: one from August through the end of September, and another extending from August to the end of December. Each position offers the chance to work in a supportive community with resources to help students excel at every level.
Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) as required for school-based practice
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other specialists
- Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments across a diverse student population
- Providing direct therapy to students, both individually and in group settings
- Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families to develop and monitor IEP goals
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress
- Offering resources and training to staff and parents regarding speech-language development and intervention strategies
