Step into an engaging contract opportunity working with students in early childhood through third grade, providing essential speech and language support. This school-based role in the Berlin, MD area runs from late August to the end of June, offering structured hours from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, for a total of 35 hours a week.
Work with a caseload of 40-50 students alongside another experienced SLP, focusing on both small group and individual sessions in a collaborative, student-centered atmosphere. You'll be supporting children with mild to moderate disabilities in developing crucial communication skills—making a real difference during their formative school years.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP-CCC credentials
- Maryland Department of Health Certification (required)
- Prior experience delivering services in a school setting, preferably with students ages PreK3 through Grade 3
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with staff, families, and students
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy services to eligible students
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans aligned with students’ IEP goals
- Conduct ongoing assessments, maintain timely documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and other support staff to enhance student outcomes
- Provide guidance and support to a wide variety of learners with speech-language needs
