Skills & Qualifications:

• Active VA Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license is required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) desirable
• Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
• Passion for working with children and supporting communication needs
• Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills
• Comfortable collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary educational team

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students
• Develop individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and needs
• Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in accordance with IEP goals
• Maintain thorough records, write progress reports, and communicate student progress to staff and families
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate actively with teachers, support staff, and parents
• Use up-to-date evidence-based practices, materials, and technology
• Engage in professional development to advance skills and uphold licensure
