An on-site contract position is available for a speech-language pathologist who is passionate about helping young learners succeed. Starting in August and continuing through late May, you’ll provide vital speech and language services for a caseload of approximately 70 students, in collaboration with another SLP. The workload will be divided between a full-time and a part-time therapist to ensure balanced support for all students.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Speech-Language Pathologist license from IDFPR
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student needs across EC-8th grade
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Must be able to work on-site—remote options are not available
- ISBE number must be provided at the time of application
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students with varying needs
- Complete evaluations, progress reports, and develop IEP goals in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Adhere to union rules and district procedures throughout the contract
This is an excellent chance to contribute your expertise in a supportive and collaborative educational environment while having your assignments split for manageable caseloads. Please note, interviews may begin in May due to district protocols, allowing time to prepare for the next school year.
