Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students’ development and communication skills in a vibrant educational environment near Berwyn, IL. This on-site, school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) contract runs from approximately August 17th through May 21st, covering the next school year (NSY). You’ll work alongside another dedicated SLP, collaboratively managing a caseload of 70 students, split between two professionals across early childhood through eighth grade. Enjoy the fulfillment of directly impacting young learners while benefiting from a structured, supportive setting.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois PEL (Professional Educator License).
  • Speech-Language Pathologist credential issued by IDFPR.
  • Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) preferred.
  • Previous experience in school settings, especially EC–8th grade, is a plus.
  • Ability to follow district and union guidelines, with flexibility to begin interviews in late spring.
  • Candidates must provide their ISBE number for consideration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ needs.
  • Deliver direct therapy services on-site for a dynamic, diverse caseload.
  • Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other support staff.
  • Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation in accordance with state and district protocols.
  • Stay current on best practices to enhance student outcomes.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive learning environment.

This assignment is strictly on-site and offers a 33.75-hour weekly schedule, fostering both consistent student connection and professional growth.
