Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language pathology services to K–8 students, with a primary focus on grades 5–8. This position covers a maternity leave and serves a manageable caseload of 15–20 students. Based near Berwyn, IL, you'll work closely with a supportive team to implement effective interventions that enhance students’ communication skills and overall academic success. The assignment is scheduled to start August 17, 2026, and run through November 27, 2026.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting, serving K–8 students, preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and documentation
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services, primarily for students in grades 5–8, with services extended to K–8 as needed
  • Develop and maintain IEPs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and district requirements
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals and techniques accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records and progress reports
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student success
  • Participate in meetings, including eligibility and IEP meetings
  • Attend new staff training (details to be determined)

The role consists of approximately 22 hours per week, with the option to work across three days. Please note, this position is not open to virtual providers.
