Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Active state licensure, or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Alabama
- Prior school experience supporting diverse student populations preferred
- Strong ability to communicate with students, teachers, and parents
- Comfortable with conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and managing therapy caseloads
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Deliver direct and indirect therapy services in individual and group settings
- Track student progress and document all services provided
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student achievement
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP reviews
- Provide guidance and resources to staff and families regarding communication strategies
