Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Active state licensure, or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Alabama
  • Prior school experience supporting diverse student populations preferred
  • Strong ability to communicate with students, teachers, and parents
  • Comfortable with conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and managing therapy caseloads

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students with speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s unique needs
  • Deliver direct and indirect therapy services in individual and group settings
  • Track student progress and document all services provided
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student achievement
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP reviews
  • Provide guidance and resources to staff and families regarding communication strategies
