Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active or pending Mississippi SLP license and ASHA CCCs or CFY status
  • School-based experience desired, but open to enthusiastic new graduates
  • Proficiency in screening, evaluating, and implementing individualized therapy services
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Ability to contribute positively to multidisciplinary teams
  • Passion for fostering student growth and inclusion

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments and create Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
  • Deliver targeted therapy for students with diverse speech, language, or communication needs
  • Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families for student-centered care
  • Maintain records, progress notes, and compliance documentation
  • Attend IEP meetings, deliver parent updates, and support transition planning
  • Participate in school-based professional learning and support educational initiatives
  • Adapt to school site policies and schedules; flex between in-person or virtual services as directed
