Step into an impactful opportunity supporting students’ communication and language development in the Biloxi, MS area! Work as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract assignment, guiding students to reach their full potential and collaborating with dedicated faculty and families.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active or pending Mississippi SLP license and ASHA CCCs or CFY status
- School-based experience desired, but open to enthusiastic new graduates
- Proficiency in screening, evaluating, and implementing individualized therapy services
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to contribute positively to multidisciplinary teams
- Passion for fostering student growth and inclusion
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and create Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Deliver targeted therapy for students with diverse speech, language, or communication needs
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families for student-centered care
- Maintain records, progress notes, and compliance documentation
- Attend IEP meetings, deliver parent updates, and support transition planning
- Participate in school-based professional learning and support educational initiatives
- Adapt to school site policies and schedules; flex between in-person or virtual services as directed
