A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Birmingham, AL, serving a K-12 school district. This contract role runs from ASAP through June 9, 2026, with a 37.5-hour work week. The caseload includes self-contained classes across a variety of school levels—preschool, elementary, middle, and high school.

Key responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and providing speech-language therapy to students with diverse needs across multiple school settings. The role requires collaboration with educators, families, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and support student communication goals.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from a regionally accredited institution
  • Valid Professional Educator Certification
  • ASHA Certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
  • ABESPA Licensure
  • Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching or clinical experience in special education or related services
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload across multiple age groups and school environments
